Boise Color Run

This was a blast.  Our family did it together and so did a few other friends, some of them with their whole family too.  We went the kids' pace and they were actually pretty fast.  Brielle joined Cross Country this year with her grandpa as coach.  Training recently started so this was just more training!

Back To School!

Back to school they go!

Brielle is in 6th grade.

Ashton is in 3rd grade with Mrs. Ward.

Lainey is in 1st grade with Mrs. Grimes.

This is the first year Lainey will be in school all day.  Its bittersweet for me.  She's so much fun to have at home.  The house will be cleaner, though :-)  I will miss them.

H's Newborn Photo Session

I got to practice newborn photography when my sister in law asked if I would take some pictures of my brand new little nephew.  He was such a good baby and sure made it easy.  He's precious.

Kids Triathlon

The kids did the Emmett's Most Excellent Kids Triathlon again.  They rocked it!  Grandma and Grandpa, our resident Tri pros (Grandpa is an ironman) came to cheer them on and help us set them up/take pictures.  The way the course is and with all the age groups racing a the same time only minimally staggered, it is impossible to root your kid on and see them from start to finish if you have THREE of them in three different age groups.  So their help was very much appreciated.

    

Brielle and Lainey both placed- 1st in their age group.  Ashton didn't place and I feel bad because he probably worked harder than the girls, but there are far more boys that raced than girls and many of them had road bikes.  There is no competing with a road bike.  We're just not that into it to pay the expense of buying our kids road bikes.  But he was a good sport knowing that.
