We were thrilled to get to have Marty again for Thanksgiving. I say again because he was allowed to join us with his companion as a missionary when he was assigned to our mission here while awaiting his Visa to get to Brazil. Holy run on sentence.
Our first meal of the day was in the afternoon in Middleton with all of Todd relatives from his mom's side of the family. The reserved the church for the occasion. The kids were happy to play with the cousins coloring and playing basketball. I was in charge of J-ello Salad, coloring print outs for the kids, and copies of the song, "For The Beauty Of The Earth" for everyone to sing. It was nice to see people we hadn't seen in a LONG time even though we live so close. Time goes by so fast!
Back at home we pushed dinner back a touch late to feel hungry again. It's tiring but I wanted to make a feast. Marty was in charge of the rolls and Todd was in charge of the turkey. Brielle made the deviled eggs and helped me make some other things. All three kids set the table. We had a delicious feast: Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, mashed sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, harvest J-ello salad, rolls, corn, deviled eggs, cranberry juice, and egg nog. Yum!
