Brielle warming up by the fire after coming in from sledding.
Todd and Lainey dancing to some song that came on TV.
Watching a football game together.
The cabin was beautiful, warm, and cozy. I especially loved the kitchen.
We ate in for some meals and ate out for others.
Going out to Pueblo Lindo's for dinner.
All matchy-matchy in our CrossFit T's.
Lainey trying out salsa.
Snow time!
The kids LOVED the snow and of course the hot chocolate
that followed each time they went out.
The loft had a nice place to finish up my Christmas cards,
which I had brought to work on.
The wintry view from the loft. It was fun to do cards up there- it just felt more like
Christmas time there!
We watched part of a hockey game before ice skating. The kids were glued to it, especially Ashton. They've never heard of hockey!
About to test the ice!
I've done quite a bit of ice skating, growing up in Alaska, but it was still hard to skate while holding all the weight of someone who can't skate! So they offered these nice shoe covers for Todd to move the kids around with.
Taking a break.
When everyone was done I got to whizz around on my own for a few minutes. Made me miss Alaska a bit. We did lake skating there. And it was much colder, but still very fun.
Eating a breakfast at the Pancake House. Lainey pointing out what she said she wanted on the (upside down) menu.
Lainey was egging Todd on to be tickled and I loved going back through these pictures and seeing the progression of her cute little facial expressions too much to leave any out. So here's her giggle-fest in frame-by-frame play back:
After breakfast there we went to the connecting shop, The Christmas House and found some great decorations for the house. I love that store! I was there in the Fall with my friends on our girls getaway and remembered seeing so many perfect Christmas decorations for spaces in our new house, but held off because it wasn't Christmas time yet. With what we bought, our house is now officially holiday trimmed. It's always so fun to be home when it's decorated for Christmas. We came home from this trip feeling relaxed and festive from the Christmas setting there.

What a great trip! That is an idea we are going to have to do. We want to try out ice skating and skiing sometime too. I've done both several times when I was younger, but Lee has never been skiing. I am not sure where a rink is around here, but lucky enough there is a ski resort about 10 minutes from our house. Oh, and we received your Christmas card, thanks! Love the picture and letter!
