Our friends, Jared and Andrea came back from Missouri, where they are living, to visit family and friends here in Fruitland. They own a successful CrossFit box (gym) in Missouri now where they are coaches and where Jared is training for his second attempt at the CrossFit games. So, naturally, while they were here, they came to do a couple workouts!
We only had about an hour's notice and it was in the middle of the work day, so we invited Todd's brother, Adam, and their friend, Scott who could both come at that time, to join us for a workout, "Jackie", here at the house. Todd played photographer. Each person took turns starting the workout on the rower as the person before them finished rowing and moved on to the rest of the workout (we only have one rower). Because Todd was directly after me, he wasn't able to get pictures of more than my row and I wasn't able to get pictures of him until I had finished the workout. It was fun to have a pretty intense crew here. Our friend, Trent also came and watched and kept time and score on the board once I jumped in.
Jared started the workout first.
Then Adam...
Then Scott...
(Adam, having just finished the workout...)
Then Andrea...
Then me...
Andrea on the thrusters.
Then Todd.
After that the guys smoked themselves more "thoroughly" with tire flips.
The next day Jared and Andrea called and asked to come in about 15 minutes for another workout. I love working out with them both because they intensify everything. It's super fun and I always learn from them. Thanks to CrossFit, I'm ready for anything so I said sure and they came and I PR'd on my Clean in a 20 minute Clean EMOM (every minute, on the minute you do the lift "X" amount of times). Then a short met con. I fed them a Paleo lunch before they needed to be off- they had a very busy week filled with lots of new CrossFit enthusiasts in the area wanting to hit the gym with them. So I was grateful to have gotten a chance to spend that time with them, but felt bad I didn't have time to invite any of my CrossFit crew to join us.
Our cheerleaders :) And Brielle was our photographer too!
