Thanksgiving

Hats from Lainey's preschool Thanksgiving party.
We started our Thanksgiving by hosting a Turkey WOD at the house.  We had a good sized group, but everyone had to run to get on with their holiday before I remembered to take a picture.

Todd's mom invited us to Turkey Dinner at her house.  A couple of Todd's brothers met up later for games.  This is us playing a game (can't remember the name) that is a cross between "Telephone" and "Pictionary".  It was super fun!

We all brainstormed up what we'd do for our next workout the next day of Thanksgiving weekend.  No Black Friday shopping for us, I am DONE with my Christmas shopping as of the night before Thanksgiving!  That was actually my goal so I could enjoy my kids this holiday and not be stuck traveling on dangerous roads or researching out gifts online this holiday season.

Here's Adam demonstrating his Turkish Get-up.

Snacking on leftovers.

The kids watched a movie and played upstairs for a good while.

The next day's WOD group.
It was fun- we did a team WOD and it was HARD!

That night, Todd and his brothers and their wives all went to Nampa to see the new movie, Lincoln.  It was informative- based on several books about him.  I liked the portrayal of his analogies and story telling.  He really was a brilliant mind.

On Saturday, we took the kids to Boise to do THEIR Christmas shopping for gifts from them to each other and to their parents.  We split up in the mall and when we met back up, Todd had found and was talking to some old friends we used to spend a lot of time with until they moved to Hawaii three and a half years ago.  They just moved back to the Boise are last week and happened to be there at the same time!  We knew they were moving back and were planning to do a get together soon, but this worked out perfectly that we were both done at the mall and had nothing more to do that day.  So they joined us for dinner in Boise, and then for the cartoon movie, "Wreck It Ralph" in the theater.   Which was especially cute- I really liked that cartoon.  It was great to see our friends and have our kids remember each other and pick right up where they left off.  A great day/evening for us all.

Sunday, I barely rolled out of bed for an early morning church meeting, then church, then home to take a FOUR hour nap!  Todd put the whole family down for a nap after having the late and fun filled night the night before.  And I guess I needed it!  Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and an enjoyable weekend.
