Here we are at "The Complex" in SLC for Scott's fight. Maura wasn't planning on going so when we decided to come and visit, she offered to stay behind with the kids rather than finding a babysitter.
We got to meet a friend of Scott's that he is dating, who had flown in from California for the fight .
We enjoyed getting to know Sierra- super cool girl.
Scott won his fight half way through the second round! He said he was super tired even before he started, for some reason. He didn't sleep well before and cut 14 pounds for the fight- fighting at 10 pounds lighter than he did two months ago and he cut around that much weight for THAT fight. So he's significantly leaner than he was here at Christmas time. He still fought well and still won, but it was interesting to hear his thoughts on it.
The guy he fought was a Muai Tai fighter- so lots of kicks came to the legs- ouch! Scott trains all kinds of martial arts, including Muai Tai and studied Tae Kwon Do growing up so he held his own.
The winning move- the Triangle Choke (Scott's legs around the guy's neck), and the guy tapped out.
Out to Applebee's afterwards.
The next morning we dyed Easter eggs. We boiled three dozen eggs before coming down to SLC and brought them with us for something fun for us all to do together. It was fun! One of my favorite memories with my family was dying Easter eggs as kids. And my brothers don't have children yet, so they really haven't done it themselves in a long time.
The light makes it hard to see, but Maura made a cute Strawberry looking egg.
Brielle accidently dropped her yellow egg on the floor. It cracked the bottom of it really bad so she drew X's in the eyes to mean that it died, he he.
Mine and Devan's eggs. He made the blue guy peaking out of his shell.
Owl chick deviled eggs!
