Spring Fair

Over the previous 9 years that we have lived here, Spring Fair has reliably been the nicest day all Spring. This 10th year broke tradition and, though it looked nice out and made my family all show up in t-shirts and shorts, it was quite a brisk day.  I watched the kids' choirs sing and went home to change into warmer clothes.  Then, back for the parade with my kids' hoodies in hand, Brielle decided she was still too cold to walk in the parade and stayed on the side of the street with Lainey and I.  We even skipped the popular BBQ chicken meal deal that they always have in the school parking lot.  Nothing tastes good when you're freezing cold!  Instead, we took the family to Country Kitchen and had breakfast for lunch and hot chocolate!
