As per usual, we spent the late afternoon and evening of Independence Day at Todd's mom's house for her Pool Party and BBQ. It was the 1st time I remember this holiday being overcast since Alaska. But fortunately, there was not really much a wind so fireworks were still a go. The swimming, I thought, was really nice. I'm usually too hot or it's usually more crowded than I prefer to get in. So this time I spent a lot of time swimming. I enjoyed visiting with family and several of our closest friends who were also there.

Brielle makes really good sugar cookies (I've never made any good ones, myself). So she made these star shaped sugar cookies and I topped them off with fruit pizza spread and toppings.
