Brielle decided she wanted to do the dance with the "Rising Stars" at the Miss Western Idaho Pageant this year. Lainey was also invited to be a "Little Sister" escorting a pageant contestant onto the stage. She was all over getting to dress like a princess and be around big girl princesses. She escorted a young lady we know named, Sarah. Ever since it's been Sarah this and Sarah that. She wants Sarah for a teacher in school (Sarah still attends high school), she wants Sarah to babysit, she ran into her at the theater yesterday and was dying to go sit by her!
As usual, I don't really enjoy girls winning and losing these things. The self worth aspect seems to blare a warped glare out from the stage. But that's just me. I understand that the girls do learn a TON about leadership and service leading up to these things and in their respective platforms that they undergo. The girls really enjoy the small parts they've played in them and the party they offer for those little girls before hand.
