This year we had Lainey dress up as "Joy" from the recent cartoon movie, "Inside Out". It was very fitting for her sunny, spunky disposition. I ordered the wig and dress separately. The wig was perfect for future Dr. Sues day costumes as Thing 1 and Thing 2 in school. Ashton was an aviator and was a sport to wear his mom's leather jacket with the sleeves rolled up because there was no way I was buying him one! Brielle was a rock star. I wasn't familiar with another recent movie called, "Jem and the Holograms", but apparently Brielle's rock star face makeup made several people think she dressed up as Jem, a rock star on that movie.
This was my easiest Halloween to date. Not much sewing this year- just cutting up Brielle's old jeans. All the tears made them fit her again! Not that she'd ever wear them... We already had most of the items for her costume. I just had to order the awesome silver leopard converse super high top boots when I found them on eBay

And we also did a big Harry Potter movie marathon this Halloween season. I admit to being a TOTAL Harry Potter nerd. I love it! I'm also reading it to the kids.
