Ryan Holiday had fought his aggressive cancer much longer than most. He surpassed all expectations. But after the long battle, he was finally relieved of the pain and suffering and passed away at 2:58 PM Sunday (yesterday). He was 30 years old. His family now begins the journey of mourning their loss and raising 2 little boys without their father. It absolutely breaks my heart.
Brody, the oldest son, started kindergarten last week. His teacher is Mrs. Sitz, the teacher Brielle had last year. I'm not sure there is a more kind and tender teacher for such a situation. I'm so glad she'll be there for Brody during this time. Ashley, Ryan's wife, is so strong. She's 26 years old. My heart aches for her. And my prayers are with her and her family.
