Pet Turtle

The day after arriving home from the CrossFit games, I gave into much pressure and let the kids buy a pet turtle from their babysitter who watched them for us while we were gone.  For $20.00 we bought Pete (the turtle, now called Turbo Pete), his tank, tank accessories and filter, and his food.  I thought it was a pretty good deal.  The kids thought they'd died and gone to heaven.  They have had their eyes on this very turtle for at least a year now!  And I have been incredibly resistant to owning pets.  Max, our outdoor cat, is all they've ever experienced.

The kids made a lot of artwork for Pete to look at above his tank in the play room.

And then they celebrated for a good LONG time.  I think they're still celebrating...
