Todd's Birthday- SLC Aquarium

For Todd's Birthday, he wanted to try breakfast at Kneader's in town where Devan lives.  We LOVE their day-time menu but hadn't ever tried breakfast there and heard it was really good.  It WAS good!

After Kneaders, we headed to the Salt Lake Aquarium which, conveniently, was re-opening at their new location that very day!  We waited in a pretty long line until their payment system froze.  Rather than let the line become impossibly long, they allowed us all to get in for free!  The only downfall was that we wouldn't get the promotion of the free pass to come back by August 31st.  Which didn't bother us any since we don't live there to be going back frequently.

Todd and I went to the Aquarium in Atlanta while there in the Fall and the kids were all pretty jealous when they saw the pictures.  The Atlanta Aquarium was the largest one in the world at the time, a new world record holding aquarium just opened in China this month. We still thought the SLC Aquarium was pretty cool!  And the kids did too!

Todd asked to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.

Once again, Devan helped get the cake cooking.

On our way home the next day, we stopped at the Gateway Mall's Dick's Sporting Good's Store in SLC, which was really out of the way on Todd's Birthday.  So he said we could go the next day but that was one of his Birthday wishes.  It's about 4 times the size of the next biggest Dick's Sporting Good's store I've ever been in!  Two stories and TONS of stuff.  We all had WAY too much fun there.

When passing Twinn Falls, we stopped at Shoshone Falls to take pictures for Brielle's Idaho History Report.  It was dusk outside, however, so the picture quality/color was really crummy.  I couldn't believe how small the falls were!  I'm curious how much bigger it will be in the early summer but you can see how much it has shrunk by the wear and stain on the cliffs.

It used to cover this landscape!
