Easter Sunday was my first Sunday back in church in a while with the time off from having a baby and General Conference. It was also my first time attending Sunday School and Relief Society in a very very long time as I am no longer serving in the primary. Lainey Bug (her most recent nick name) was very good for me and slept through the whole thing.
After church we took naps. The kids woke up before Todd and I and did a number on the house with candy wrappers and sticky sugary fingers. They were plenty geared up to go to Todd's mom's where we were invited for Easter dinner and an egg hunt.
We're getting a little bit more sleep around here. Lainey teased me for a few days with two nights in a row of 8 hours straight without waking up to eat at night. Now we're back to every 3.5 hours. I thought she was really there because Ashton slept 8-9 hours straight at night from two weeks old on! Here's to hoping she'll reconsider it!
I'm doing physical therapy and felt myself really wanting to amp up the effort lately. Today I worked up a sweat and really worked hard. For the first time, it actually felt like a work out more than therapy. That probably means I don't need to be there anymore! I went walking with a friend last night and it felt so good to get fresh air and know my body was actually enjoying getting moving fast for the first time since I was about two months pregnant. Do any moms have good advice on how to get exercise AND fresh air with 3 or more kids? I rode my bike with the kids in the bike trailer several times a week before I was pregnant. Now they won't all FIT in it!

beautiful pictures, Sarah!
on the exercise thing, I have a double jogging stroller. Brielle could walk/ride her bike/rollerskate with you while you push the 2 little ones in a stroller...
Alternatively, put L in a sling and Ashton in a backpack and take a walk as long as Brielle can handle.
I have too many kids for us to all bike at the same speed... I've been known to set the older ones loose on bikes on a trail with the new baby in a sling & the toddler/older baby in a backpack and walk briskly behind them. Looks a littlle ridiculous but gets the job done.
I bet it was nice to be at church today. It is good to go and get out! It was nice to be able to leave the hospital in March after I was on bedrest for 5 weeks! Good luck with the exercising. I think I am just going to have to have Lee watch the kids for me--especially when Elden comes home. I could go on a walk or something with three kids (Clark would be in school) but four would be more tricky.
If you find out any good ways to get out of the house to get fresh air with 3 let me know... I'm still trying to figure it out with 2 kids. But, the fresh air is hard to come by in Vegas.
:)
